LED Troffer Light — FAQ

What is the difference between a troffer and a panel light?

A panel is a slim backlit or edge-lit fitting. A troffer has a steel housing, drops into a T-grid or plaster ceiling, and is normally specified where air return, emergency or low-glare performance is required.

Can it replace a fluorescent troffer?

Yes. The 600 x 1200 48W version replaces a 4 x 18W fluorescent unit at roughly half the running cost, and the standard T-grid cut-out does not change.

Do you supply emergency versions?

Yes, 3-hour self-contained emergency modules are available across the wattage range, with the charge indicator visible from below.
